Kicked Back, Checking Out the Music

I’m old school when it comes to music.  Honestly, I could sit and listen to music from the late 70’s for hours on end.  It drives my husband nuts.  He has a bit of hip hop in him and I just can’t get a hold of that stuff.

Actually, the most popular music of the early 80’s brings about a lot of nostalgia for me as a teenager and that of the late 70’s brings memories of my father.  Every now and again I get a hankering for some stuff from the early 90’s but not often.

I guess I’m just kind of boring like that, uh?

The Most Famous Twitter’er of Them All

Ah yes, famous people on twitter, nothing new right.  But, who exactly do you consider famous.  I’ve a few folks that I would like to toss out there but before I get to anyone that is like the superstar of all time, I have to tell you that Jenny, The Bloggess is actually one of my most favorite twitter’ers ever.  But, how about some of these other folks, do they qualify as famous twitter’ers or just famous?

You tell me?

What about The Ellen Show

Oprah

Barack Obama

Ben Spark

Ok, what about my fav’s

Barbara Walters, Joy Behar and even though I’m not that fond of Elisabeth Hasselbeck

I’ll still take some of my old buddies over these real “famous” people anyday…woot woot for Jenny, The Bloggess

Get Me A Door

I’m embarrassed when guest come to visit but apparently not as embarrassed as my husband is.  But, we are equally embarrassed for different reasons.  For me, I can’t stand the thought of the paint chipping off of my door and needing new door furniture in generally.

My husband, he would much rather sit around and complain about not having a storm door so we can leave the door open to let some sunshine inside.  And, as for being embarrassed, I think it bothers him more that I wanted to leave the Christmas door covering on the door to hide the chipping paint.  Oh well!

Take the Challenge! UPDATED

Earlier today someone mentioned an about page on one of my blogs.  I went and looked because she said she didn’t realize that I write as many blogs as I do.  So, I’ve written a post, I’ve organized a strategy and I want you to join me….will you?
I hear this a lot, maybe I should discuss it

Here’s my strategy:
1.  Break out the time that I spend on blogs that make money versus those that don’t
2.  Break out the time I spend working as a mother
3.  Break out the time I spend working as a wife
4.  Break out the time I spend working as a chef/house keeper/ laundry wrangler
5.  Break out the time I spend writing paid posts
6.  Break out the time I spend writing paid content for other sites (not the same as actual paid posts but people I actually contribute to and get paid for it, not just for paid links in posts)
7.  Break out the time I spend on myself (who?)
8.  Break out the time I spend here on CB (which I do consider to be a work/fun relationship and I’m going to try to make out when I am here for something I consider to be work related or why I’m here for what I consider to be fun)
9.  Break out the time I spend writing anonymous content
10.  Break out the time I spend surfing for the fun of it
11.  Break out the time I spend tweeting for work
12.  Break out the time I spend tweeting for the fun of it
13.  Break out entertainment emails
14.  Break out work related emails

Are you up for the challenge?  Can you think of any other categories I should try to mini-manage for 5 days?

I am using a website called Rescue Time starting tomorrow to track my activities online and then  will just break out the time that I’m not online and tell you if I have spent that time doing house work, childcare, family fun, playing with my kid, etc.

You will notice that in most cases, there’s me and one child and occasionally their me, my husband and one child.  The youngest is just stubborn or maybe he was scared.  It’s hard to believe he was scared when he was begging to go see them…but…whatever…
